LASCAUX
LASCAUX is a museum installation about the ancient, painted, French
cave made with a new computer graphics technique called virtual reality.
LASCAUX is designed to travel to cultural institutions and art centers
worldwide for a period of years and then to find a permanent home in France.
The LASCAUX project is a creation of our contemporary culture, the product
of individuals and organizations working together to connect viewers to
the human tradition, from the most distant past to the most distant future.
The Cave of Lascaux has a spirit which is reaching through the ages
to bring a message to each of us. It is a message which no one can fully
understand, but which we may certainly come to appreciate.
